Lately there has been a bit of stability in the downtown Seattle condo market. However, over the past several years project developers were offering buyers purchase incentives like kitchen upgrades, paying a share of closing costs for buyers, and participating in a loan rate buy-down which is basically a reduced interest rate for a certain period of time before it reverts back to the original rate.

Today, Seattle real estate is on the upswing and vibrant, and according to a recent economic analysis, the port city is home to new Seattle condos ranging from the affordable to the extravagant. And with a growing population many new mid and high-rise condos are being built on a daily basis; many in newly-created buildings with beautiful Victorian and Craftsman styles that are affordably priced, making the downtown Seattle area the place to live and be seen.

Because of recent short sales and foreclosures in downtown areas like Belltown, Pioneer Square, Central Waterfront, and Pine Market, buyers have a perfect opportunity to take the leap, and purchase an affordable, “dream home” condo. Affordable condo prices start as low as $100,000, so maybe it’s your time to join the crowd in downtown Seattle living.

Though family living in an urban setting is usually much different than family life in the suburbs or the country there are many families who choose to live in urban areas because of the benefits. There are pros and cons of living in area and the families who choose to live in urban settings feel the pros of living in the city outweigh the cons.

Family living in an urban setting allows the members of the family to have the best access to diverse culture. There are many more museums, musical shows, and theater experiences located closely together in an urban environment which is great for educating children.Get more information here. http://www.gizmag.com/urban-trees-earth-insitutue/22304/ Though the suburbs and countrysides are known for their wide open grassy spaces there are many designated areas in urban settings where children can play. Cities tend to have just as many or even more parks and playgrounds located within the city than in the suburban areas.

Within the city the children still have the opportunities to play and gather with other children. As children grow up in urban families they also appreciate the wider range of activities and cultural experiences they are able to engage in within the diverse city environment.

Ballard isn’t the only nice neighborhood in Seattle to live. Take the neighborhood of Vashon for example. If you want a nice quiet area to call home, one away from the busy downtown traffic and crowds, this is the place for you. They residents of this island town pride themselves on their isolation and the relaxing lifestyle it affords. But if your looking for a place to call home that has no big back yards to tend to, or one that has close neighbors, literally, then be sure you check into Issaquah Highlands. Houses are build close together and most share public parking spaces. But the close proximity of the homes makes for better community involvement.
Are you looking for somewhere with small-town charm but just minutes from the city? Then check out Magnolia, a community built on wide streets and a slow-pace small town feel. If finding a quiet neighborhood with big safe yards is a must, Magnolia has that too.
Looking for a ritzy looking neighborhood with a mix of social classes? Check out Laurelhurst. The prices are high for homes but it is waterfront property so it is to be expected. Check the other surrounding neighborhoods to see if they have something to offer, you may just be surprised.
